Don't take risks. Have a qualified solicitor take charge of your conveyance. Hiring a professional to tackle the legal issues in this area of law will help the transaction to run smoothly.

Since opening in Southgate in 2006 we have very quickly established ourselves as one of the leading conveyancing firms in the area. We work closely with many estate agents and surveyors in North London and are on the panel of preferred solicitors of national developers including McCarthy and Stone plc and also a member of the Law Society's Property Section which assists residential and commercial property solicitors by proving best practice information and support on property related issues.

The residential and commercial department is supported by a case management system that provides estate agents and developers with the ability to track the progress of their sale or plot sales.

We can assist you in the following areas:

Home Information Packs (HIPs)

What is a HIP?
A HIP is a set of documents that provides useful information about properties that go on to the market for sale. HIPs are being phased in with 3 bedroom properties and above.
The purpose of the HIP is to reduce time taken to get from offer stage to exchange and completion and reduce the number of transactions that fall through.

What is included in a HIP?
A HIP includes proof of ownership, standard searches and for the first time, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

Why use a solicitor?
Putting together a HIP now becomes the first step in the legal process of selling your home, so it is all the more important to have the pack prepared by an experienced property solicitor who can work together with your chosen estate agent.
Our HIPs are produced online by MDA SearchFlow. They are the only electronic search provider to be endorsed by the Law Society.

Why Use Stennett & Stennett?
A HIP is an important legal document so you should ensure that the pack complies with the Regulations as only then will it be most effective in the marketing of your property.
We have the expertise, technology and high level of personal service that will deliver a HIP that is guaranteed compliant with the HIP Regulations and can deal with any queries that your estate agent or prospective buyers may have once your property is on the market.
